The Hammond Museum - Muzeum Hammonda
The Hammond Museum was established on the initiative of a private collector and the authorities of the city of Kielce in 2017. Currently, it operates in the administrative structure of the House of Creative Environments Tomasz Zieliński Palace in Kielce.
On May 15, 2021, the opening of the new headquarters of the Hammond Museum at 5 Zamkowa Street in Kielce took place. The official part was preceded by Hammond playing on the spot. Around 4:00 p.m., the Director of the House of Creative Communities, Ryszard Pomorski, together with the Mayor of the City of Kielce, Bogdan Wenta, took the floor at the opening of the Hammond Museum. The invited guests were guided through the permanent exhibition of instruments. On this occasion, a musical performance took place on the playing stairs. We could also participate in the opening of the Andrzej Zieliński Hall (Skaldowie). At 5:00 p.m., the presentation of the Hammond organ performed by Józef Skrzek and then Andrzej Zieliński (together with his family – Jacek, Bogdan, Wojtek Zieliński and the guest band Wołosatki) began on the Summer Stage in the Garden of the Tomasz Zieliński Palace. There was applause, encores, autographs, and group photos. Among the guests was the initiator of the Hammond Museum – Paweł Wawrzeńczyk, who lent us a part of his extremely rich collection of organs.
